Cushion Day is the day you give your home a little lift. One cushion here, a splash of color there – and suddenly: an upgrade. A mini-revolution with a zipper. We are a Norwegian family business with a deep passion for textiles and an uncompromising eye for detail. For us, it’s all about people – we make cushions for homes, not for warehouse shelves.
All our cushions are produced in small batches, completely free from mass production. While many textile producers turn a blind eye to harmful chemicals or irresponsible working conditions, we can guarantee the opposite: safe materials, certified quality, and responsible production – all at a fair price.

We create cushions with care, in small batches, for those who want something unique and personal in their home.
Behind Cushion Day is a small business rooted in Kongsberg. We design cushions with love, carefully selected textiles, and an uncompromising eye for detail. Each cushion is made in limited editions, entirely free from mass production. This makes them exclusive, personal, and something not everyone has in their home.
All our cushion covers are designed in Norway and produced in India by skilled artisans. We collaborate only with partners who share our values – fair work, women-led initiatives, reduced textile waste, and conscious material choices.
Safe textiles for the whole family
We believe that comfort, aesthetics, and safety should go hand in hand. That’s why all our cushion covers are made from fabrics that are tested and certified to be just as gentle on you as they are on the environment.
All our cushion covers are Oeko-Tex® certified. This means the fabrics are tested free from harmful chemicals and safe to use, even close to the skin, for both children and adults. You can lean back, rest your head, or let the kids play with the cushions without worry. The Oeko-Tex® label is your guarantee that we care about more than just design and quality – we also care about your health and the environment around us.
Each cushion is a small piece of everyday luxury, from soft velvet, linen or cotton, to recycled fabrics and hand-picked details. Whether you want to refresh your sofa, create a calm and cosy reading corner, or make the children’s room a little warmer and more inviting – we have something just right for you.
Values that make a difference
Our producers are certified through SEDEX, ensuring fair working conditions, respect for human rights, and responsible processes. Our cotton comes from the Better Cotton Initiative, where farmers cultivate with reduced water use and greater care for both people and the environment
We consciously collaborate with women-led workshops in India, creating safe workplaces, sharing knowledge, and preserving craftsmanship that has been passed down through generations. And because we know that not all women are given the same opportunities, a part of our profits goes to CARE Norway, supporting women’s rights and economic independence in some of the world’s most vulnerable communities.
